Dollar Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Vernon Hills, IL. You will assist with daily activities, organize merchandise, and help maintain clean, well-stocked sales floors.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior store management or supervisory experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Handle payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts; assist with loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash; ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable; manage bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
