Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Onalaska, WI to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise flow, and ensuring seasonal areas are maintained.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. This is a part-time position with opportunities to grow within the store team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and the candidate should be able to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and endure frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
• Help store manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
