Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking/standing.
• Strong communication and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, record-keeping and loss prevention.
• Keep store and stockroom well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and train associates accordingly.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, restrooms, floors, and waste areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
