Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, supervise staff, and ensure a clean, well-organized sales floor and stockroom to meet company standards.

You will help manage inventory, run opening/closing procedures, and ensure safety and policy compliance while delivering excellent customer experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates under the Store Manager.
