Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Oxford, Michigan is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations and develop the team.

You will assist with merchandising, customer service, and compliance with company directives, while maintaining clean, organized sales floors and stockrooms. The role emphasizes leadership support for Store Associates, training, safety, and customer-focused service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and ensure seasonal areas are maintained
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional displays and front-end fixtures
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts), and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Ensure cleanliness of the store, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash
• Other duties as assigned*
