Family Dollar in Milwaukee is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing procedures, merchandise flow, and compliance with corporate directives while maintaining store standards and a safe, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include coaching Store Associates, ensuring merchandise is well-stocked and displays are appealing, and protecting store assets.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Experience in store management in retail, grocery, or drug store.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsabilités

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention.
• Keep stockroom and sales floor well-stocked and organized.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and follow safety policies.
• Train and develop store associates and maintain a respectful environment.
• Maintain store cleanliness, restrooms, floors, and waste management.
• Other duties as assigned.
