Job summary

Dollar Tree in Norlina, North Carolina is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, train Store Associates, and maintain a clean, safe, and inviting shopping environment while upholding company policies and procedures. This part-time role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and bending.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and secure all company assets.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and supervise/train Store Associates as needed.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team.
• Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
