Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Edenton, North Carolina, to help run daily store operations, assist customers, and develop the store team.

You will participate in opening and closing procedures, help with scheduling and payroll, protect assets and loss prevention, stock shelves, and ensure friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced retail environment. This is a part-time position with opportunities for growth within the store team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or similar environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and follow corporate directives.
• Maintain promotional displays, assist in ordering merchandise, and support loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom according to company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash and ensure store security.
• Train and develop Store Associates and maintain a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
