Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Canton, NC location. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, help customers, supervise and train associates, and ensure a clean, safe environment while following corporate directives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Open and close procedures as needed
• Process directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling/cash handling, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all store assets including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure compliance by associates
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Keep store clean including bathrooms, floors, trash, and general presentation
• Other duties as assigned
