Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Cary, NC to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, merchandise flow, and customer inquiries, while helping supervise staff and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist with merchandise movement from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and store communications related to activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect assets, including store cash, and adhere to policies.
• Help supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restrooms stocked, floors clean, and areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
