Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development at our Stewartville location. You will assist in merchandising, opening/closing duties, and ensure adherence to company policies while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and hands-on supervision of store associates, with a focus on efficient operations and loss prevention.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics, etc.) is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills are required

Responsabilidades

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect store assets and cash
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Help supervise, train and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
