Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Pittsburg, CA to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves organizing merchandise, executing opening/closing procedures, and ensuring a clean, welcoming sales floor.

You will help supervise associates and uphold company policies while delivering exceptional service. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and previous store management experience in retail or grocery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties (standing, walking, repetitive lifting).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention activities
• Supervise and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment
