Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Fallon, NV is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and help organize merchandise across the sales floor and stockroom.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and strong communication skills. You will lead and train Store Associates, ensure safety policies, and help maintain a clean, well-stocked store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks like walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays' effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked, organized store and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follows procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean and restocked, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
