Job summary

Dollar Tree is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Carson City location. The role emphasizes supervising daily store activities, organizing merchandise, and maintaining a safe, friendly environment for customers and associates.

The candidate should have strong communication skills, relevant retail experience, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and interpret directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect company assets including store cash and adhere to safety policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
