Job description

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Concord Mills Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can get their hands on the merchandise they love. You’ll use your fandom knowledge to help train new recruits and support the management team in daily operations and meeting sales targets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customers to return, demonstrating product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Step in and support when needed, covering the sales floor and assisting the management team.
• Open and close the store as required, managing store keys responsibly.
• Operate the register, process sales transactions, and leverage fandom knowledge to promote add-on sales and benefits such as BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Understand store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs like UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram changes, including store layout, wall, fixture, & merchandising mix.
• Communicate fashion & music trend information to management and HQ partners.
• Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
• Maintain the stock room and keep the store organized and tidy.
• Contribute to developing a collaborative, passionate team to run the store effectively.
• Perform any other duties assigned by your Store Leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1 year of retail store experience, especially if you love music and pop culture.
• Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, and operations, with a drive to develop your team.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
