We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a significant part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can access their favorite merchandise. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales goals.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty, utilizing your product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Step in and support when needed, covering sales floor duties and assisting the management team.
- Open and close the store as required, demonstrating responsibility and trustworthiness.
- Operate the register, process transactions, and use your fandom expertise to promote add-on sales and benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Also, handle register closeouts and communicate shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
- Understand store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and misuse of spells and wizardry, ensuring store security.
- Support store maintenance by organizing stockrooms and keeping the store tidy.
- Help develop a collaborative and passionate team to run the store effectively.
- Perform any additional activities assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong communication, time management, professionalism, operational skills, and a drive to mentor others.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds when handling merchandise.
