Job description

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll support the store leadership team in providing excellent customer service, ensuring fans can find their favorite merchandise. Your fandom knowledge will aid in training new recruits and supporting daily operations and sales targets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Support leadership by covering the sales floor and stepping in when needed.
• Handle opening and closing of the store as required.
• Operate the register, process transactions, and promote add-on sales using benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate shortages or overages to management.
• Understand sales goals and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram updates, store layout, and merchandising.
• Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
• Work with Store Management to prevent theft and misuse of spells and wizardry.
• Help maintain organized stock rooms and a tidy store environment.
• Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team.
• Perform other activities as assigned by your Store Leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1 year of retail experience, with a love for music and pop culture!
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and leadership skills.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay range: $15.50 - $17.85 per hour. Final salary will depend on education, location, experience, and other factors.
