Job description

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll support the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, helping fans find their favorite merchandise. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and assist in daily operations and sales targets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and excellent service.
• Step in and support store operations as needed, including covering the sales floor and assisting management.
• Open and close the store, ensuring security and readiness for business.
• Process transactions at the register, promote add-on sales, and communicate any shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
• Understand store sales goals, KPIs such as UPT and ADT, and contribute to achieving them.
• Assist with planogram updates, store layout, and merchandising.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
• Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
• Help maintain organized stockrooms and a tidy store environment.
• Foster a collaborative and passionate team environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your Store Leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1 year of retail experience, with a passion for music and pop culture.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and operational skills.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• The ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.
