We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a significant part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can access the merchandise they love. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty, showcasing your product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Step in and support store operations as needed, including covering the sales floor and assisting the management team.
- Assist with opening and closing the store, ensuring smooth operations.
- Process sales transactions at the register, using your fandom knowledge to promote add-on sales and benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Also, handle register closeouts and communicate shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
- Understand and contribute to store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
- Support planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and misuse of store assets.
- Assist in maintaining organized stock rooms and a tidy store environment.
- Contribute to building a collaborative and passionate team to run the store effectively.
- Perform any additional activities assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail store experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, operations, and team development.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
