We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an excellent customer experience, ensuring fans can access their favorite merchandise. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales goals.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages repeat visits through product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Step in and support when needed, covering sales floor duties and assisting the management team.
- Open and close the store as required, demonstrating responsibility and trustworthiness.
- Operate the register, process sales, and utilize your fandom knowledge to promote add-on sales and benefits such as BOPIS and curbside pickup. Also, manage register closeouts and communicate shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
- Understand store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs like UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layouts, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
- Maintain organized stock rooms and a tidy store environment.
- Contribute to developing a passionate, collaborative team to run the store effectively.
- Perform any other duties assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience, with a love for music and pop culture!
- Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, and operational tasks, with a drive to develop your team.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- The ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift boxes up to 50 pounds.
