We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, helping fans find the merchandise they love. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to assist in training new recruits, support daily operations, and achieve sales targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages repeat visits. Use your product knowledge, customer service skills, and enthusiasm to impress customers.
- Support store operations and step into leadership roles when needed, including covering the sales floor and assisting the management team.
- Open and close the store as required, ensuring security and readiness.
- Operate the register, process transactions, and use your fandom knowledge to promote add-on sales, including BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate any register shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
- Understand store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
- Help maintain an organized stockroom and a tidy store environment.
- Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team to run your store effectively.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and operational skills, with a drive to develop your team.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
