We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a significant part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can access their favorite merchandise. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to help train new recruits and support daily operations and sales targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through your product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Step into leadership roles when needed, covering the sales floor and supporting the management team.
- Open and close the store as required, managing store keys responsibly.
- Operate the register, process sales transactions, and utilize your fandom knowledge to promote add-on sales and benefits such as BOPIS and curbside pickup. Ensure proper register closing and communicate shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
- Understand store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
- Help maintain organized stock rooms and a tidy store environment.
- Contribute to building a collaborative, passionate team to run your store effectively.
- Perform any other activities assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail store experience, with a passion for music and pop culture.
- Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, operations, and team development.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using approved equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds when handling merchandise.
