We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll support the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring fans can access the merchandise they love. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales goals.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Step in and provide leadership support on the sales floor when needed, especially when your Manager is unavailable.
- Handle opening and closing duties of the store as assigned.
- Operate the register to process transactions, promote add-on sales, and manage store benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate any shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
- Understand store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
- Maintain organized stock rooms and a tidy store environment.
- Contribute to building a collaborative and passionate team to run the store effectively.
- Perform any additional activities assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong communication, time management, professionalism, operational skills, and a desire to develop your team.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
