We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can access their favorite merchandise. Your fandom knowledge will be essential in training new recruits and supporting daily operations and sales targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages repeat visits, showcasing your product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Support store operations by stepping in and providing leadership support as needed, especially when your Manager is unavailable.
- Assist with opening and closing the store, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Operate the register, process transactions, and use your fandom expertise to promote add-on sales and benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
- Understand store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
- Maintain organization in the stockroom and keep the store tidy.
- Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team to run your store effectively.
- Perform any other activities assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and operational skills. A drive to develop your team members.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- The ability to navigate the store, merchandise products with approved equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
