Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of North Carolina LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Charlotte, NC to support store operations, assist customers, and develop the team. The role includes opening/closing, merchandising, and enforcing company policies while ensuring a safe, friendly shopping environment.

The position is part-time and based at the Charlotte location, with responsibilities spanning inventory, POS, payroll-related tasks, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and storefront fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, records (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain clean, stocked, organized store areas to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Follow safety policies and ensure staff compliance.
