Job summary

New York Edge is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Director to support the after-school program administration under the supervision of the After-School Program Director. You will help implement enrichment activities, schedule projects, supervise staff, and coordinate events.

The role covers site operations when ASPD is unavailable. The position requires in-person presence, with days that include Monday through Friday (mostly 12pm–6pm), and some Fridays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or be actively pursuing one.
• Minimum of one year of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
• Face-to-face interaction with students, parents, staff and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of after-school program under ASPD supervision.
• Schedule enrichment activities and coordinate with staff to align with learning goals.
• Supervise staff and students during site activities and trips.
• Communicate program progress and challenges with the After-School Program Director.
• Ensure compliance with DYCD, DOE, and DOHMH regulations and evolving pandemic guidelines.
