ZP Connect in Asheville, NC is seeking a part-time American Sign Language interpreter to provide high-quality interpreting through video in a call center and on-site at various customer locations.

Fluent ASL and spoken English are required, with accurate interpreting skills and knowledge of the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct. Successful candidates will complete a 40-hour New Hire Training and pass an interpreting skills assessment.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English required.
• Accurate interpretation demonstrated.
• Understanding of Deaf culture.
• Adherence to NAD-RID Code of Conduct.
• 3–5 years interpreting experience preferred.
• State licensure or state-required credentials where applicable.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Responsabilités

• Provide video relay service, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting.
• Support and model the company's mission and values.
• Offer excellent customer service with a professional attitude.
• Maintain punctuality and preparedness for shifts, and document work accurately.
• Adhere to FCC regulations and company policies.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies and shifting schedules.
• Multi-task between interpreting and video-based tools.
• Travel as needed with access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license.
