Job summary

University of La Verne seeks an ASC Academic Coach for the Federal Work Study program (2025/2026). The role is part-time, on campus, with 8–10 hours per week, focusing on holistic student development and coaching to improve academic habits, balance, and goal setting.

Coaches participate in weekly trainings and support diverse student populations, including Living Learning Communities, probation students, and first-generation learners. Must be a current ULV student.

Qualifications

• Minimum overall GPA 3.25.
• Ability to listen to student needs, communicate effectively, and set realistic goals.
• Interest in helping students manage academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities

• Offer individual and drop-in coaching to build time management, balance, goal setting, and accountability.
• Collaborate with ASC staff to develop programming for diverse student groups.
• Create supplemental ASC materials, webinars, and student resources.
• Attend weekly all-staff trainings and coach meetings to share best practices.
• Collect and report accurate data for each session.
• Perform other duties as assigned by ASC Director or staff.
