Luna Data Solutions, Inc. in Oklahoma City seeks a part-time AS400 Developer/Admin for a long-term contract. Role covers maintenance, DB2 for i, and administration of IBM i environment.

This hybrid position is 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, local candidates or those willing to relocate. The ideal candidate has 5+ years hands-on AS400 experience, RPG IV, RPGLE, CL, and SQL, plus hosting coordination and security management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on AS400 (IBM i) development and support.
• Proficient in RPG IV, RPGLE, CL, and SQL on DB2 for i.
• Experience with hosted/managed AS400 environments and external hosting providers.
• Experience in IBM i work management, subsystem coordination and security.
• Strong background in FTP/SFTP data integration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, modify, and optimize legacy AS400 code (RPG, RPGLE, CL).
• Troubleshoot operational issues, batch runs, and user-reported problems.
• Update logic for regulatory changes and licensing requirements.
• Coordinate with hosting provider for maintenance, patches, and environments.
• Manage application security, user profiles, and audit logs.
• Manage local job queues, subsystems, and schedulers.
• Coordinate backups and disaster recovery with hosting teams.
