Job summary

Allied Universal seeks a part-time Armed Security Officer for gate operations in Hobe Sound, FL. You will control vehicle and pedestrian access, verify credentials, conduct patrols, and monitor for safety risks while maintaining professionalism with clients, visitors, and contractors.

The role requires firearms proficiency per state guidelines, strict adherence to post orders, and ongoing training. You will respond to incidents, complete detailed reports, and contribute to a safe, compliant site

Qualifications

Valid state armed security license.
State firearms permit/licensure.
Clean background check.
Drug screening clearance.
Valid driver’s license.
CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
High level of physical fitness.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Control gate access for vehicles and pedestrians, verifying IDs and credentials.
Perform routine patrols of assigned areas to detect safety or security issues.
Monitor for suspicious activity and enforce site rules and regulations.
Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies following established protocols.
Prepare accurate, timely incident and daily activity reports.
Communicate effectively with clients, visitors, and team members.
Follow post orders, safety procedures, and chain-of-command instructions.
Support investigations by observing, documenting, and reporting details.
Participate in ongoing training to maintain firearms and security certifications.
