Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Armed Security Officer for the W Fuqua St site in Houston, TX. The role features fixed shifts with optional additional shifts via our Earn More program and a pay rate of $22.00 per hour.

Ideal candidates are at least 21, hold a Texas Level III Armed Certification or Armed Guard Card, and have 3+ years of combined law enforcement/ military or 5+ years armed security experience, plus a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Active Armed Guard Card/License (Texas) or higher.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening as required by law.
• Must be able to obtain licensing as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while enforcing site policies and emergency procedures at a retail grocery location.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of store, parking, and surrounding areas; identify hazards and report concerns.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site procedures and laws.
• Monitor access points and document security-related activities.
• Maintain professional armed presence to deter theft and ensure safety.
