Job summary

Rockwood Search is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper & Accounts Receivable Analyst for a family-owned wholesale and distribution company in West Hills. The ideal schedule is five days per week, six hours per day, with in-office work and some flexibility.

You will receive payments, reconcile them with open invoices, apply payments, and collaborate with sales to resolve discrepancies. You’ll also work with customers to collect outstanding invoices and assist the accounting team with day-to-day bank

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts receivable and/or general bookkeeping experience.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Receiving payments (cash and check), reconciling payments with open invoices, and applying payments appropriately.
• Collaborating with the sales teams to resolve payment discrepancies, billing issues, and inquiries.
• Working directly with the customer in a professional and courteous manner to collect outstanding invoices or resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assisting the Accounting team in resolving any issues that arise from the bank reconciliation process or through day to day operations.
• Collaborating with the accounting team and other departments as needed.
