Job summary

The YMCA of Greensburg in Greensburg, PA seeks an Aquatics Department Coordinator to support the Director of Aquatics and Facilities. This part-time role offers flexible hours up to 20 per week, including some evenings and weekends, with a focus on safe, high-quality aquatics programming.

You will supervise daily pool operations, assist with staffing and scheduling, coordinate lessons and events, and help with CPR/First Aid trainings and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in recreation or related field required or preferred.
• Current Lifeguard certification required.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification required.
• Leadership, supervision, and strong communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operation of the Aquatics Department, including staffing and pool safety.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, pool rentals, swim lessons, and program planning.
• Coordinate CPR/First Aid trainings for staff and community participants.
• Collaborate with Facilities Department and other departments to ensure safety and quality services.
• Assist with safety compliance and community outreach and events.
