Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking an Aquatic Supervisor in Philadelphia to lead the branch's aquatic programs, ensuring safety, quality, and exceptional member service. You will oversee lifeguards and instructors, maintain pool operations, and collaborate with the branch leadership to enhance programs.

The role requires 18+ years old, a HS diploma, 2+ years of supervisory experience, and current ARC Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• 2+ years supervisory experience in a related field.
• Current ARC Lifeguard/Water Park, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer, First Aid or Administering Emergency Oxygen.
• Exhibit strong leadership and member-service orientation.
• Acquire and maintain required certifications listed.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in delivering quality within the YMCA aquatic department.
• Ensure lifeguards/instructors are trained and programs meet member needs and YMCA standards.
• Monitor all aquatic programs for safety, quality and member service.
• Develop relationships with members and obtain regular feedback on programs.
• Provide program enhancements to meet member needs per Association guidelines.
• Supervise staff and ensure appropriate staffing of pool and programs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in pool area, locker rooms, and adjoining locations.
• Complete weekly maintenance checklist and pool logs.
• Conduct lifeguard and safety audits daily.
• Serve as a member of branch management and Leader on Duty.
