Job summary

The Sampson Family YMCA is seeking an Aquatics Program Coordinator to assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating aquatics programs in the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh network. This role reports to the Program Director and is based in the Pittsburgh area.

Responsibilities include coordinating activities to meet YMCA objectives, assisting with program development and budget, and supporting staff and participant growth while working some nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working in related program or field.
  • CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid and Emergency Oxygen.
  • Current American Red Cross OR YMCA Lifeguard Instructor certification or equivalent and V6 Swim Lesson Instructor and Trainer must be obtained within 1 year.
  • Have or ability to obtain Pesticide Technician within 120 days
  • Have or ability to obtain Certified Pool Operator
  • Have or ability to obtain within 120 days Bathing Place Manager within 120 days
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
