Job summary

Linn-Benton Community College is seeking candidates for a pooled Part-Time Faculty position. This pool will be reviewed continuously to fill openings as they arise, with ongoing opportunities across taught disciplines.

Applicants must reapply annually to maintain active status in the pool. Courses are paid per credit, and new appointments begin at the entry pay step with standard departmental processes. Oregon residency requirements apply, and a background check is required.

Qualifications

• 27 graduate quarter hours in Agriculture, Horticulture or a field relevant to course(s) taught.
• Master’s degree in another field with 27 graduate quarter hours in the primary field.
• Equivalency accepted for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop materials for classes using approved course outcomes.
• Handle administrative tasks: assign/grade student work, communicate with students, report outcomes, maintain records.
• Stay current with subject developments and educational technology; strive for professional improvement.

Education

27 graduate quarter hours in Agriculture, Horticulture or a field relevant to course(s) taught

Master’s degree in another field with 27 graduate quarter (or 18 semester) hours in primary field

Equivalency

Bachelor’s degree plus 27 graduate quarter hours and active pursuit of master’s degree or doctorate

Career Technical Courses: two years of work experience or four years in occupational area
