Job summary

LEAP is seeking an Afterschool Assistant Program Director for an on-site role at Bronx Charter School for Better Learning II. The position is part-time, Monday–Friday, 1:00pm–6:00pm, with a 25-hour work week and a non-exempt status.

The role reports to the Afterschool Program Director and emphasizes program management, staff supervision, and community partnerships. Responsibilities include safety, staffing, events, program oversight, budgeting, internal support, and data reporting.

Qualifications

• Two years supervisory experience required.
• Prior management and supervisory experience required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Familiarity with diverse communities.
• Strong organizational, collaborative, critical thinking and writing skills.
• SCR/fingerprint clearance may be required later.

Responsibilities

• Safety: ensure safety and compliance with NYS School Age Child Care protocols.
• Staffing/Youth Participation: recruit and train staff; manage enrollment and attendance; oversee staff scheduling.
