Job summary

LEAP’s PS 145M site seeks an Afterschool Assistant Program Director to oversee daily operations, Monday-Friday 1:00pm-6:00pm, 25 hours weekly, on-site at P.S. 145M The Bloomingdale School.

You’ll assist the Afterschool Program Director, supervise staff, and ensure NYS SACC compliance in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. Qualifications

• Two (2) years supervisory experience required.
• Prior management and supervisory experience required.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish), preferred.
• Familiarity with diverse ethnic and cultural communities.
• Outstanding organisational, collaborative, critical thinking, and writing skills.
• Sensitivity to parent concerns and child development issues.
• Enthusiasm, creativity, initiative and the ability to adapt quickly to change.
• The proven ability to serve as a dynamic team leader.
• SCR fingerprint clearance throughout employment.
• Not required but a plus: NYS credential or School-Age Child Care Credential.
• Not required but a plus: Familiarity with DYCD Online and database management.
• Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, Email, Internet, Zoom/Google Classroom.

Responsibilities

• Safety: Ensure safety and compliance with NYS and LEAP protocols.
• Staffing & Youth Participation: Recruit, train staff; manage enrollment and attendance; schedule staff.
• Events: Plan and produce events with school partnerships.
• Programmatic Oversight: Monitor and manage program quality and funder data requirements.
• Budget Adherence: Track budget within guidelines for staffing and supplies.
• Internal Support: Attend meetings, trainings, and events to enhance skills.
• Data Collection & Reporting: Track attendance, surveys, and generate reports.
