Job summary

Prosperity Child Development is seeking an Afterschool Group Leader (Part-Time) to supervise school-age children with a focus on safety, structure, and positive leadership. The role requires initiative, adherence to policies, and strong teamwork in a dynamic afterschool environment.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of childcare experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lead activities while ensuring child safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must have at least 2 years of childcare experience, including babysitting, family care, afterschool, daycare, camp, or youth program.

Responsibilities

• Maintain active supervision of assigned children at all times.
• Lead age-appropriate educational, recreational, and enrichment activities.
• Create a structured, positive environment that supports development.
• Follow attendance, headcount, sign-in/out, and safety procedures.
• Communicate concerns, incidents, and behavioral issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized group area.
• Collaborate with staff and provide support when needed.
• Demonstrate appropriate behavior, respect, and professionalism.
• Follow supervisor instructions and program policies while keeping children safe.
