Qualifications

• Must meet Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) requirements for the position.
• Education and experience must meet applicable EEC requirements based on the age group served.
• Previous experience working with children in childcare, school, camp, recreation, or similar setting preferred.
• Demonstrates reliability and the ability to work independently while contributing to a strong team.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, welcoming, engaging environment for children in the Attleboro Norton YMCA childcare program.
• Assist with classroom activities, afternoon programming, and transitions during pick-up.
• Communicate positively with families during dismissal and refer questions to the lead teacher or supervisor.
• Maintain active supervision, follow YMCA and EEC health and safety requirements, and ensure proper closing procedures.
