Responsibilities

• Lift up to 35 pounds and accompany children on the playground.
• Sign up within 90 days for DCF 45 training hours.
• Pass urine drug screen and background check.

Our location has been open for 30+ years. The preschool embraces a constructivist approach to learning, providing a strong academic foundation in a warm, nurturing and fun environment.

Essential Job Functions

Under the general supervision of the preschool administrators, teachers provide a stimulating, safe and developmentally appropriate educational environment for preschool children.

Requirements

• Able to work 18 to 25 hours per work. Hours will be schedule between 12:00pm and 6:00pm.
• Provide basic needs for children
• Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
• Establish and implement classroom management effectively
• Must stand, interact and supervise while on the playground
• Able to lift 35 pounds and comfort children
• Sign up within 90 days of employment for DCF 45 training hours (required by the state.)
  
• Successful completion of a urine drug screen and background check
