Job summary

The Mentoring Alliance is seeking an After School Counselor to lead enrichment activities and foster youth development in an after-school setting. This part-time, non-exempt role runs 17–20 hours per week, Monday through Friday after school, and emphasizes ministry-minded guidance and positive role-modeling for elementary students.

Ideal candidates are at least 17 with a HS diploma/GED or higher, a love for working with kids, and willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith.
• Must be at least 17 years of age; High School Diploma or GED preferred and some post-secondary training highly preferred.
• Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children.
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred.
• Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
• Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
• Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
• Valid driver’s license or Valid ID
• Legally allowed to work in the United States
• Have dependable transportation
• Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
