Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley in Hamilton City, CA is seeking a Youth Development Professional for after-school programming. The role focuses on safety, supervision and delivering programs across core areas, while fostering a positive, inclusive club environment.

The position is part-time, with hours aligned to the school calendar; compensation is $17.25–$18.75 per hour and benefits include paid sick leave and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• First Aid & CPR certified.
• Pass TB test.
• Pass FBI/DOJ Live Scan and background check.
• County Assessment compliance (48 college units or degree).
• 1–2 years in Recreation or Child Development a plus.
• Knowledge of youth development principles and guidance a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, develop and implement programs.
• Maintain safety, security and appearance of the Club.
• Keep program and grant paperwork updated.
• Coordinate spontaneous recreational activities.
• Promote activities via bulletin boards, newsletters and flyers.
• Assist in planning academic enrichment.
• Maintain recreation equipment and facilities; report needs to supervisor.
• Work with staff/parents to recognize members for good work.
• Provide direction for volunteers to boost participation.
• Deliver friendly customer service and guided tours when needed.
