Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support safety and supervision at Las Plumas High School Teen Center. You will implement programs across core areas and collaborate with staff to create a welcoming, engaging environment for members.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, coordinating events, documenting participation, and assisting with academic enrichment while adhering to club policies and maintaining a positive tone with youth and

Qualifications

• First Aid & CPR certified.
• Pass TB test.
• Pass FBI/DOJ Live Scan and background check.
• County Assessment proving 48 college units or degree.
• 1–2 years of experience in Recreation or Child Development.
• Knowledge of youth development principles and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, develop and implement programs.
• Maintain safety, security and appearance of the Club.
• Track programs, member participation and grant documentation.
• Coordinate spontaneous recreational activities.
• Promote activities via bulletin boards, newsletters and announcements.
• Assist in planning academic enrichment.
• Manage recreation equipment and facilities; report needs.
• Recognize members for good work and address issues with staff/parents.
• Provide direction for volunteers and guide tours for visitors.
