Job summary

Read Better Be Better seeks part-time After-School Literacy Program Coaches to facilitate our after-school reading program for elementary students in the Alhambra School District, Phoenix, AZ. The role involves mentoring a cohort of Readers and Leaders, and delivering engaging literacy activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred candidates are enrolled in a relevant degree program or have experience working with children.
• Classroom management and a patient personality are key components we look for in our Program Coaches.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the literacy program at the assigned school site.
• Ensure curriculum progress for Readers and Leaders.
• Promote a safe and healthy learning environment.
• Attend weekly meetings with the Program Coordinator to share successes and address concerns.
• Attend professional development workshops and participate in semester-end graduation events.
