Job summary

Read Better Be Better in Phoenix, AZ is seeking part-time After-School Literacy Program Coaches to guide a cohort of young Readers and Youth Leaders. The role is 5–10 hours per week, pays $18/hour, with training provided prior to start.

Coaches work at a designated Madison School District site, attend a weekly coaches meeting, and help deliver curriculum, monitor progress, and maintain a safe learning environment for K-8 students.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Preferred Candidates are enrolled in a relevant degree program (i.e. teaching, educational studies, youth & early childhood development, social justice, etc.) OR have experience working with children in a school setting.
• Classroom management skills and a patient personality are key components we look for in our Program Coaches.
