Job summary

Great Hearts Academies seeks an After-School Lead Teacher to supervise and guide students in our after-school program at the Academy. You will lead activities, support a classical curriculum, and maintain a safe, respectful environment for students.

The role is part-time and non-exempt, with approximately 15–20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, after school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• Must meet AZDHS Childcare licensing qualifications.
• Lead Teachers require 3 months of experience in a qualifying setting or a degree in education/related field.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• First aid/CPR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 20 students in a classroom setting.
• Facilitate homework, recess, and other activities.
• Present lessons from provided classical curriculum.
• Follow licensing rules and AZDHS regulations.
• Escalate incident reports and document significant events.
• Substitute at another campus when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
