Great Hearts Academies is seeking an After-School Lead Teacher for the Academy location. This part-time, seasonal role runs Monday through Friday from dismissal until 6:00 p.m., with earlier start on early release days, typically 15–20 hours per week.
You will supervise up to 20 students, facilitate homework, recess, and activities, and present lessons from the provided classical curriculum, using proper guidance and classroom management to uphold program standards.
Co-Curricular Lead Teachers facilitate activities and independently supervise students in the after-school program. This is a wonderful opportunity for aspiring educators or for those who love working with children. This is a part-time, seasonal, non-exempt, non-benefited position. After-school programs are open Monday-Friday from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. (earlier start on early release days). Approximately 15-20 hours per week.
The successful candidate will be a principled, professional leader with an independent work ethic and a heart of service to others. They must demonstrate sound business judgment and wisdom in dealing with people. Preference will be given to those candidates who have worked in a licensed program. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.
Travel required: May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
