Great Hearts Academies seeks an After-School Lead Teacher to supervise and guide students in our after-school program at the Academy. You will lead activities, support a classical curriculum, and maintain a safe, respectful environment for students.
The role is part-time and non-exempt, with approximately 15–20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, after school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. A background check is required.
Co-Curricular Lead Teachers facilitate activities and independently supervise students in the after-school program. This is a wonderful opportunity for aspiring educators or for those who love working with children. This is a part-time, seasonal, non-exempt, non-benefited position. After-school programs are open Monday-Friday from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. (earlier start on early release days). Approximately 15-20 hours per week.
The successful candidate will be a principled, professional leader with an independent work ethic and a heart of service to others. They must demonstrate sound business judgment and wisdom in dealing with people. Preference will be given to those candidates who have worked in a licensed program. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.
Travel required: May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
