Job summary

Great Hearts Academies is seeking an After-School Lead Teacher for the Co-Curricular program. This part-time, seasonal role supports students after school hours, offering engaging activities and supervision in a structured environment.

Hourly compensation ranges from $16.50 to $17.50. The position requires at least 3 months of relevant experience or a degree in education, and compliance with licensing requirements. Work is onsite, 15–20 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in licensed child care or similar programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 20 students in an after-school setting.
• Facilitate homework, recess, and other activities.
• Present lessons from the provided classical curriculum.
• Utilize appropriate child guidance and classroom management strategies.
• Model and instill core virtues of Great Hearts Academies.
• Follow procedures to ensure high quality programs.
• Comply with AZDHS licensing rules and regulations.
• Document and report student behaviors and incidents.
• Substitute at another campus when needed, and perform other duties.
